Almeria and Barcelona to secure progress
There's an absolute feast of football at your disposal tonight with the Rome derby and Dutch classic on Betfair Live Video, Leeds facing Arsenal in the FA Cup and two Copa Del Rey quarter-final second legs on top of all that. If you favour the Spanish fare, here are the wagers we like the look of...
Deportivo La Coruna v Almeria (7pm, Sky Sports 1)
Deportivo's chances of reaching the semi-finals weren't killed off by a 1-0 reverse in Almeria but it was a huge blow, especially as La Liga's bottom side built on the result by holding Real Madrid on Sunday, becoming the first outsider to halt either of the top two in 13 matchdays in the process.
Almeria have tasted defeat in just half of their away games this season and they are one of only two teams to have won at the Estadio Riazor so far, the other being the mighty Barcelona. Deportivo enter this encounter on a run of three straight losses without scoring, so lack the momentum to mount a comeback.
They won't go down without a fight either though so back the draw at [3.5] and consider covering both teams to score at [1.99].
Real Betis v Barcelona (9pm, Sky Sports 1)
Real Madrid followed their 8-0 first-leg victory over Levante in the last round with a 2-0 loss away and it wasn't seen as a huge shock as Real Madrid had the tie sewn up and Levante wanted to win the return to recover some pride.
Having beaten Segunda leaders Real Betis 5-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final clash, it shouldn't therefore be an upset if the Andalusian club nick a morale-boosting victory over Barcelona this evening, however they hate losing so much that the hosts are rated massive [7.2] outsiders.
Their case isn't helped though by home defeats to Real Zaragoza and Getafe in the last two rounds despite progressing or Barcelona's stunning 14-match unbeaten run on their travels. The champions are [1.47] but the standout price is [2.8] on under 2.5 goals - a feature of Barca's last four away games in the competition.
Will Deportivo fight back? Will Betis suffer again? Let us know below...
