Wales will battle to a draw for Flynn

Wales' hopes of qualifying for Euro 2012 look to have disappeared already.

After opening with a 1-0 defeat away to Montenegro - a defeat that cost John Toshack his job - Wales needed to win their second game against Bulgaria to stand any chance of qualification.

They went on to lose 1-0, and thoughts are already turning to the next World Cup qualifying campaign. However, there is something riding on this game - the future of Brian Flynn.

The Wales caretaker manager is extremely popular with the players - a majority of whom he nurtured in the Under-21s - and a good result will go some way to convincing the Wales hierarchy that he's the man for the job.

Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan has already said the players will be fighting for Flynn, but it will take more than guts and determination to beat the Swiss.

Wales have failed to score on their last two away days, and have only hit the net in one of their last five games, and that was in 5-1 win against Luxembourg. However, Switzerland's home record will hardly fill the Welsh with terror.

The Swiss haven't won in eight attempts at home, with their last win coming in a 2-0 defeat of Greece over a year ago. They have scored just three times in that period, so backing under 2.5 goals at [1.69] could be well worth a punt.

With two teams whose qualifying campaigns have got off to such dreadful starts, lumping some cash on a tentative draw at [4.5] may yield a very tidy profit.
