There's been plenty happening on the Betfair football forum these past few days, with talk turning to Montenegro's chances of beating England, the possibility of Scotland beating Spain, and even whether these games should be taking place...

"Montenegro being top of England's group is no big deal, it is one of the worst groups ever assembled. You have to consider how dreadful Wales are. They as bad as they have ever been, but still should have got a draw with Monty. Switzerland and Bulgaria would not make the top three in the other groups. If the England team played in the Premier League they'd probably finish fifth or six, Montenegro would finish bottom with about 17 points in my opinion." - Tobermory

"Scotland's record at Hampden is formidable and Spain aren't unbeatable on their travels as Northern Ireland proved a few years back. If Craig Levein plays a striker Scotland can win." - top3 makin ahern and de souza

"Good tip if you want one for today. Ukraine could only draw 2-2 with... CANADA the other day!!! And Canada are not quite world beaters yet! Take the [1.5] on Brazil." - bobsyboy

"Why can't the powers that be get rid of the qualifying stages? It is sooo unbelievably dull and gets in the way of club football which most people are more interested in I think. Why not just let the top teams by FIFA ranking qualify automatically and then maybe have the remainder play each other to decide which smaller teams get in?" - The Bowery

"Is it wrong for me to say Cesc Fabregas is already a better player than Steven Gerrard ever was?" - BazzA2010
