Alternate bets for tonight's Euro action

With no shortage of games this evening, we've decided to focus our attentions on the home nations for our alternate bets. There are plenty of markets to dabble in, but here are three that have caught our eye...

Back the Czech Republic to beat Scotland 1-0

We already went into some detail about why we think this game will end with a tight win for the Czechs in our full preview. However, there is one more punt we like the look of - and that's the correct score market. With Scotland failing to find the net on their last six away days, and the Czech Republic only conceding two in their last five home games, we can't see the Scots finding the net. With the Czechs also potentially having to field misfiring West Brom striker Roman Bednar in place of the injured Milan Baros, the home side could also struggle to find the net. A 1-0 win at [6.8] looks the most likely outcome to us.

Back Italy to win to nil against Northern Ireland
Everything is pointing towards a win for Italy, and we're not going to go against that train of thought. However, we think it will be a pretty comfortable evening for the Italians who have rid themselves of some of the more experienced/older members of their squad since their calamitous World Cup. With Northern Ireland only finding the net three times in their last ten games, backing the Italians to win to nil at [2.5] could yield a tidy profit.

Back a 1-1 draw between Wales and Bulgaria
With two very evenly matched teams we can see tonight's clash in Cardiff being a close affair. The absence of both Dimitar Berbatov (retirement) and Craig Bellamy (injury) means goals are going to be hard to come by. However, with Bulgaria going 17 games without a goalless draw, and Wales a spectacular 24 without a stalemate, there should be a couple. Back the 1-1 draw at [7.0].
