The Betfair Football £10 Bet of the Day
Day 39: We're backing the draw between Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew at [3.55]
We've decided to look a bit further afield than the Euro 2012 qualifiers for our last punt of the week, and it's the MLS clash between Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew that has caught our eye.
Columbus Crew are currently second in the Eastern Conference, just one point behind Thierry Henry's New York Red Bulls. However, their recent run has been far conference winning form.
They've won just one of their last six league games, and are without a victory in four.
Their impressive league position has largely been built on their home form - they've lost just three games at the Columbus Crew Stadium this term. The Crew's away from leave a lot to be desired, having recorded only four victories on away soil all season.
They are in luck though, they travel to face a Chicago Fire side in the midst of their worst run of the season. They have won just one of their last seven, and have only managed to find the net on three occasions in their last six games.
Fire striker Calen Carr has called on his side to play with a renewed sense of pride on the 13th anniversary of the formation of the club, and we reckon that added incentive will be all they need to pick up a point from the visiting Crew.
Our bet: We're backing the draw between Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew at [3.55], meaning that - before factoring in commission - we stand to win 25.50. The same punt pays out only £22 with Paddy Power. Sign up for a new account now and have losing bets up to a total of £30 refunded for a week.
