Wednesday's massive Serie B multiple
Wednesday's suggested bet: We're backing draws between Modena and Empoli and between Novara and Atalanta for combined odds of [8.37]
With so little football happening this week, we're heading over to Italy, and Serie B, for our Wednesday multiple.
After eight games of the season, Novara are lying second in the table with 16 points, just two points behind league leaders Siena. They face a tricky game against third placed Atalanta who are one back with 15 points.
Novara won their last game 5-1 against Portosummaga, thanks in no small part to four goals from Argentinean striker Pablo Gonzalez.
With Atalanta only tasting defeat once this season (against league leaders Siena) and only conceding one goal in four away games, this looks like being a close game. We fancy this to finish level, which would not be a disaster for either side.
Modena may be a lowly 17th in the Serie B table, but any team in the division would be happy with their home record.
Of the four games they've played on home soil this season, they've drawn two and won two, keeping two clean sheets in the process. Empoli have a similar away record (two wins, two draws), but have failed to score in two of the games, and had to rely on a last minute Daniele Mori strike to earn them a win in their last match.
This is another clash we think will finish level and round off a very tempting double.
