Watch and win with Germany and Spain!
International friendlies rarely get punters too excited but there are several intriguing encounters this week, including a clash between neighbours Portugal and Spain and a trip to Sweden for Germany. There are 15 to choose from on Betfair Live Video and we've analysed five of our favourites...
Russia v Belgium (4pm)
The transition from Guus Hiddink to Dick Advocaat has been smoother than expected and Russia have made a better start to qualifying that Hiddink's new project, Turkey. They've struggled at home over the last year though, so while they should win at [1.67], back both teams to score at [1.99] too.
Poland v Ivory Coast (7.30pm)
As you'll probably know by now, we have a theory that tournament stagers often begin preparation dismally, suffering for the lack of competitive games. Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland are winless in eight, so back the Elephants to wrap up a fourth successive post-World Cup victory in Poznan at [2.62].
Sweden v Germany (7.30pm)
Germany are a deliciously tempting proposition at [2.24] having won each of their first four qualifiers, though Sweden were on a bit of a roll themselves before a 4-1 humbling away to World Cup finalists Holland. Both nations have been prolific of late, so take advantage of the [2.0] on over 2.5 goals. This game is also on ESPN.
Romania v Italy (7.30pm)
Cesare Prandelli is ridiculing clichés about Italian caution with adventurous selections - four more players debut tonight, most incredibly West Ham reject Alessandro Diamanti, with Guiseppe Rossi expected to be captain. The Azzurri are yet to hit top form however so consider the draw at [3.4].
Portugal v Spain (9pm)
Odds of [2.54] on a Spain triumph are difficult to resist but we fancy Portugal to avenge their World Cup exit in this Iberian derby. Paulo Bento's tenure has opened with two 3-1 successes, while Spain have underwhelmed on recent trips to Mexico, Argentina and Scotland. Back Portugal at [3.15].
