Bayern Munich will close gap with a win
After winning the double last year, few would have backed against Bayern Munich continuing their dominance of German football for yet another season.
However, just three wins in nine games have seen the defending champions end October in 11th position in the Bundesliga - 12 points behind early pacesetters Mainz.
They have improved somewhat in recent weeks though, and have lost just one of their last six games in all competitions. They beat Werder Bremen 2-1 in the German cup on Tuesday thanks to two goals form Bastian Schweinsteiger and should keep up their winning ways this evening.
Freiburg have been rather erratic so far this term. They have played 11 games, winning six and losing five with no draws. They have lost their last three away games all by a score of 2-1 and suffered a shock 2-1 defeat in their Tuesday cup game against tier two side Energie Cottbus.
Bayern will be missing Arjen Robben who is out until January with a hamstring tear, while Miroslav Klose will also be sidelined for three weeks with a similar injury.
Louis van Gaal's side should still come out on top though, so backing them to win at [1.34] looks to be a worthy, if not very exciting punt.
More interesting could be backing over 2.5 goals at [1.67]. Freiburg haven't failed to score in a single game so far this season and boast Bundesliga top scorer Papiss Demba Cisse - who has bagged eight goals this term - amongst their number. If you're feeling even more adventurous, you can back Bayern to win 2-1 at [10.0], making it four straight 2-1 defeats for Freiburg.
