Wolfsburg try to stop Dortmund on Betfair
If you aren't already a Betfair customer, now is definitely the time to sign up as the number of high-profile European games available for users to watch on Betfair Live Video is on the rise and the importance of each fixture is growing greater as springtime approaches.
As ever, all nine weekend Bundesliga matches are being shown, starting with Friday night's second versus third clash between Bayer Leverkusen and overachievers Hannover. We correctly opposed the latter against Schalke last week but fancy the draw here at [4.4] as Leverkusen have won only three of their ten home league ties. Alternatively, the title chasers are [1.57] to lay.
If they do triumph however, they will close the gap on runaway leaders Borussia Dortmund to eight points. On Saturday, the table-toppers, having dropped points for just the fourth time against Stuttgart, face a potentially tricky trip to Wolfsburg, who won for the first time since October at Mainz.
Dortmund's odds of [1.87] appear appealing given their record of nine victories in ten away games yet star man Shinji Kagawa is out for the rest of the campaign after getting injured for Japan and owing to their unwanted reputation as draw specialists, Wolfsburg are unbeaten in eight. Be bold and back Steve McClaren's side at [4.6].
Other highlights in Germany this weekend include Werder Bremen versus Bayern Munich and improving Schalke versus rivals for a top-six finish Hoffenheim, while there are once again ten huge Serie A matches to choose from on Betfair Live Video.
Saturday evening's double header is intriguing, as at 5pm, Valon Behrami may make his Fiorentina debut against former club Lazio, who were atrocious last time out against Bologna and therefore can't be trusted at [2.2] even against as poor a side away as the Viola. Look to the draw at [3.2].
In the later game, Inter will hope for a favour from old employee Diego Simeone in his first home outing as Catania coach against AC Milan. The Rossoneri have strengthened to avoid complacency but their Sicilian hosts rarely disappoint in front of their own fans, so the draw again tempts at [3.6].
The heroes of matchday 21, Udinese and Bologna, have a chance to build on their Inter and Lazio wins on Sunday. The entertaining Zebrette are at Juventus, with over 2.5 goals again tastily priced at [1.91], while skint Bologna bid to beat more visitors from the capital in Roma. The Giallorossi have won seven in eight but without truly impressing so don't be surprised if they lose at [5.2].
Finally, title hopefuls Inter and Napoli are both capable of overcoming European contenders Palermo and Sampdoria at home. Consider combining the two in a double using the Betfair Coupon for odds of [2.67].
