The Bundesliga debuts on Betfair tonight!
Betfair customers are already able to watch dozens of games from big European leagues like the Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and Dutch Eredivisie every week but this weekend Betfair Live Video are welcoming a brilliant new addition - the German Bundesliga!
All nine of this week's matches in the league often judged the most competitive and best supported - in terms of atmosphere if not numbers - in Europe are available to watch here, starting with Friday's clash between promoted clubs St Pauli and Kaiserslautern, in which the hosts are [2.52] favourites.
Other intriguing ties over the next few days include the meeting of the underperformers between Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm) and runaway leaders Borussia Dortmund's trip to Nurnberg (Sunday, 4.30pm) but the standout is probably the Saturday evening encounter between last season's top two Schalke and Bayern Munich, currently 15th and fifth, in Gelsenkirchen.
The champions Bayern Munich are unbeaten in seven Bundesliga outings, benefitting from Mario Gomez's run of 11 goals in seven appearances, but still trail Dortmund by 14 points, while they have only won once away. So while Schalke were stunned 5-0 by Kaiserslautern last week, the Bayern lay appeals at [2.14].
There are also six Serie A matches to choose from this weekend, the pick of which takes place tonight at the Stadio Olimpico, with surprise package Lazio welcoming champions Inter Milan.
It's guaranteed to be more of a contest than last season, when Lazio - under the orders of their fans - rolled over for their good friends to help minimise the chances of Roma winning the league, as Edy Reja's side will want a draw at least to maintain their four-point advantage over the Nerazzurri.
We're not convinced they'll get it though. Inter are improving as their injury crisis becomes less severe and hit five past Parma last week despite fielding Goran Pandev, who last scored a league goal in February, centrally in the absence of Samuel Eto'o (suspended), Diego Milito (injured). Our fancies are the Inter win at [2.84] and under 2.5 goals at [1.69].
There's French football available to watch too, the highlight of the action in the gloriously tight Ligue 1 coming on Sunday as PSG attempt to prove they are capable of sustaining a title challenge against third-placed Brest, while in Holland, Feyenoord are [1.84] to enjoy their first travelling success of the season at winless Willem II on Sunday lunchtime.
