Day 42: We're backing Grosseto to beat Portogruaro at [1.98]
Things are a bit up in the air with yesterday's Bet of the Day, in which we went with Italy to defeat Serbia, after the match was abandoned in the seventh minute after crowd trouble. The likelihood is that we'll get the stake back but until the situation is resolved we won't update our running total.
It's back to Italy for us this evening as we stick today's tenner on a fixture that hopefully will last the full 90 minutes - the Serie B clash between Grosseto and Portogruaro. After delivering four winning tips on Serie B and Segunda weekend games, we're confident of extending the streak with a bet on Grosseto at [1.98].
The Tuscan hosts have struggled recently to meet the high standards they've set in the last two seasons, the most successful in their 98-year existence, however successive home victories suggest they are returning to form and we expect a third to follow tonight.
Portogruaro made a competitive start to their first ever second-tier campaign, though they're yet to achieve an away triumph at this level and are beginning to struggle, as demonstrated by a 5-1 hammering at home to another promoted club, Novara.
Grosseto have lost just three times at the Stadio Olimpico Carlo Zecchini since since last September and each of those setbacks were suffered against top-eight teams, so it's difficult to envisage the improving Grifone stumbling against Portogruaro.

Thanks for the comment dinocoblue. Over the 91 days that we've run a Bet of the Day, the total profit stands at £55.37. We've made a slight loss over the last 41, however we seem to be moving in the right direction once again now thankfully!
