Day 28: We're backing Fluminense to beat Atletico-MG at [1.74]
Fluminense are down to third in the Brazilian Serie A after a disappointing run of just one win in seven games but we're backing them at [1.74] to get back on track in the early hours (1am to be precise) against struggling Atletico-MG.
While their overall form has been shaky of late, the 2-1 loss to leaders Corinthians last week was their first of the season on home soil after ten without defeat and tonight's visitors are far from impressive travellers, having triumphed in only one of their last 13 appearances on the road.
And though Fluminense have been underperforming, their malaise is far less threatening than that of their relegation-threatened opponents, who managed to lose at home to a Vitoria team on a seven match winless streak last time out and are currently four points from safety.
The head-to-head records offer no comfort for the side with the division's worst away points tally either. They've beaten Fluminense in just one of their last six encounters, with the high-flyers taking three points from the last two meetings, the most recent being a 3-1 away victory in May.
Our bet: We're backing Fluminense to beat Atletico-MG at [1.74], meaning that - before factoring in commission - we stand to win £7.40. The same punt pays out just £6.15 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. Sign up for a new account now and have losing bets up to a total of £30 refunded for a week.
