The Betfair Football £10 Bet of the Day
Day 171: We're backing Torino to beat Reggina at [1.73]
The Serie B league table indicates that there is only one point separating Torino and Reggina, however the recent form of both promotion hopefuls tells a rather different story.
Since the dramatic saga that saw Torino coach Franco Lerda axed, his replacement Giuseppe Papadopulo sacked after two defeats in two games and the former boss brought back, they have won three on the spin to return to the play-off picture in fifth place.
Reggina are right below them in the final spot but don't look as safe a bet to stay there after a disastrous run of six matches without a win. There are plenty of clubs waiting to capitalise on a slip from either, with eight teams within four points of Torino and all the sides down to 17th within eight.
That tightness makes this game in hand an unsquanderable opportunity for Torino to give themselves a four-point margin over the chasing pack with a victory in front of their fans and we're backing them to do just that at [1.73].
The Clarets have won nine of their last 15 as hosts and face a side that, despite fighting for a spot in Serie A, have lost six of their last 12 on the road. Another obstacle that Reggina have to overcome is a streak of seven clashes with Torino without success. They were beaten 2-0 in Turin last term.
Our bet: We're backing Torino to defeat Reggina at [1.73], meaning that - before factoring in commission - we stand to win £7.30. The same punt pays only £6 with SportingBet. Sign up for a new account now and have your first bet of up to £25 refunded if it loses.

Indeed, quite possibly our worst ever run, and frustrating too, given that we tipped the QPR draw at 4.6 but didn't make it the BotD! Thankfully we were on such good form before the recent losing streak that the overall profit is still solid, but a change of fortune would definitely be welcome!
