Day 151: We're backing Empoli and Reggina to draw at [2.98]

Our fears that a fine run of form would come to an untimely end to scupper the celebration of our 150th daily wager on Friday couldn't have been wider of the mark as instead we enjoyed a welcome slice of luck as Fenerbahce came from behind at Fenerbahce to nick a last-gasp derby victory.

It was a fourth successful tip in five days to take our profit for the week to a very healthy £44 and boost our overall coffers to £171.80 and we're turning to the Monday night Serie B encounter, which is available to watch on Betfair Live Video, in our attempts to maintain that momentum.

Mid-table Empoli are hosting play-off hopefuls Reggina in a match that screams draw and it is therefore no surprise that slightly shorted odds than usual of [2.98] are offered on the stalemate, though they are still generous enough for us to take advantage of.

Four of the last six collisions between the former Serie A clubs, who were both in the top-flight as recently as three seasons ago, have finished level, including each of the last two, and there is plenty of reason to believe that their latest clash will go the same way.

Reggina are going all out in their attempts to secure a top-six finish that appeared to be drifting away during a dire winter but is back on the cards after a run of seven games unbeaten. They have lost just once in 11 outings in 2011 yet have triumphed only twice on their travels in that time.

Empoli meanwhile have had less to celebrate and are in danger of having little to play for in the closing weeks with five points separating them from the play-offs and six from relegation trouble.

They are always a threat at home though having lost just three times in Tuscany all campaign and have drawn at their Stadio Carlo Castellani as often as they've won, so expect a seventh spoil-sharer there this evening.

Our bet: We're backing Reggina and Empoli to draw at [2.98], meaning that - before factoring in commission - we stand to win £19.80. The same punt pays only £18 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. Sign up for a new account now and have your first bet of up to £25 refunded if it loses.
