In-form Kryliya to ruin Rubin Kazan title bid

Reigning Russian Premier League champions Rubin Kazan are six points behind leaders Zenit St Petersburg having played a game more, so with just five more remaining, failure to win away at Kryliya Sovetov will effectively end their pursuit of a third successive title.

Kurban Berdyev's side are strong favourites at [1.72] but their hosts shouldn't be underestimated, despite having appeared doomed to relegation as recently as a month ago.

Kryliya Sovetov have collected ten points from their last four games to escape the drop zone and pull four points away from it and while three of those encounters came against clubs currently situated in the bottom four, there's no doubt that they head into this match with all the momentum.

Rubin Kazan, on the other hand, have won only one of their last five in all competitions and an even less encouraging statistic is that a mere one of their last eight away outings have ended in victory, so our inclination would be to take the lay price of [1.73].

In terms of other bets, over 2.5 is worthy of consideration at [2.24] even though Rubin's last two fixtures have finished goalless because while Kryliya have started to score more - with ten in their last four - they continue to leak fairly regularly.
