Lyon equaliser delights Betfair 2-2 backers
As ever, there were numerous examples of Betfair customers winning far more than they would have if betting elsewhere in the Champions League last night, with the most notable difference coming in the Group B game between Lyon and Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
Having made a dismal start to the campaign, the Israeli champions were on course to snatch the Europa League spot away from Benfica when they came from behind to assume a 2-1 lead at the Stade Gerland, however a late equaliser from youngster Alexandre Lacazette saw both teams take a point.
Anyone who stuck £10 on the 2-2 draw on Betfair was rewarded with a payout of £370.50 - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - whereas the same wager provided only a £150 profit with BetClic.
Unsurprisingly, Werder Bremen's incredible 3-0 victory over reigning champions Inter Milan was also available to back at a huge price on Betfair. A £10 wager on that scoreline returned £275.50 on top of your stake, compared to just £140 with Ladbrokes.
Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
