Wayne Mardle's PDC World Championship Tips: Back Beaton v Anderson to go all the way

Wayne Mardle is back with previews of two more matches and fancies them both to go all the way...

"The former world champ, The Adonis Steve Beaton is a class act but he's often under performed here at Alexandra Palace."

Andy Smith v Ronny Huybrechts
12:45

These two play the same game, they are decent on the sixty, decent on the doubles, both steady, both average about 88-90 every time. This will go to five sets, I'm certain of it.

Neither ever win by a street, it's always a grind with these two and nearly always very close. What's more, there's only five places between them in the rankings, Andy Smith is 29, and Ronny Huybrechts 34.

And because I think it'll go all the way I have to advise a back of Overs on the 180s, too.

Steve Beaton v Kyle Anderson
19:15

This I think will be a replica of the Smith v Huybrechts game - nothing to separate them at all. The odds suggest it'll be close and I agree.

The former world champ, The Adonis Steve Beaton is a class act but he's often under performed here at Alexandra Palace.

Kyle has been a revelation on tour this year, earning his place here through the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit rather than having to qualify through the Australian playoffs like last year, and he really has come on bundles.

All in all I think this match has the making of a last-set thriller so back it to go the distance.
