Wayne is back and has picked out a bet ahead of tonight's matches in the Grand Slam of Darts...

"Of course at any moment things could click but that's unlikely when you're under pressure and I feel sure that'll be the case for Jenkins against Robert Thornton. Terry is throwing more wayward darts than I can ever recall him doing in the past, and if he continues that trend against The Thorn it could be an early bath for him."

Robert Thornton v Terry Jenkins

I know I know, once bitten twice shy. I backed against Terry yesterday and got my fingers burnt - he hit his doubles and Geert de Vos didn't.

My reasons for backing against Terry again haven't changed, he's simply not playing well enough. Geert de Vos missed his opportunities, but Robert Thornton is far more likely to take his.

Averages are only a guide, but Jenkins' tournament stats are at 89, whilst Robert is averaging 94. Now of course, they're not the highest but Robert appears happy with his game and he has more to come, he knows that.

What's more, darts is a touch and feel sport - under pressure you find out who's got it, and I just find it hard to envisage Terry producing the goods at the right time.
