Wayne is back to cast his eye across the big contest of the afternoon at the Grand Slam of Darts - Barney v The Power...
"Phil has had bigger than a 161 in this event don't forget - he took out a majestic 167 versus Robert Thornton - but Van Barneveld has had six ton-plus finishes compared to Taylor's four. At the odds I think Raymond can do us, and himself of course, proud."

I want to focus on the highest checkout market today as these two legends face off, because I think RVB is overpriced at 21/20; it's improbable that it'll be a draw. What's more, it's the first to 16 legs so there's going to be plenty of opportunities for a possible biggy.
Against Mark Webster the big Dutchman hit outs of 121, 124,146 & 161. I think if he an produce anything like those stats against The Power it'll be the right bet and, as I say, 21/20 seems a tad big.

And don't forget, it's the highest finish we're backing regardless, so a three figure finish might not be needed to win anyway, although it's very likely to be a big one, given the quality of these two dartists.
