History will be made on Thursday night when the Premier League arrives in Berlin with a record crowd of 12,000 guaranteed. It will be loud, it will be entertaining, but will it be full of winning bets for our man Wayne Mardle...
"MVG last week wanted 210 and hit a 180 to leave 30, this isn't normal behaviour from the world number one, but it shows you just how determined to raise funds he is."
Berlin...who'd have thought it!
In 2005 Phil Taylor and I contested the first ever Premier League match, it was held at The Kings Hall, Stoke, in front of just 800 dart-crazy fans. It seemed a lot at the time. Fast forward to Thursday and there will be 12,000 crammed into the Mercedes Benz Arena.
Haha. It's laughable isn't it!! In a good way of course.
The Green Machine is 1-4 to win the contest, I'm not about to say lump on at that price. There is a tiny spot of value though in my opinion.
If like me you think Michael will hit the most 180s and win, the odds of 6/4 look pretty decent. He is 11/10 to hit the most maximums as a single.
Michael divulged important information last week, he told us all live on Sky Sports that he wants to hit as many maximums as possible in the Premier League because every time he does he donates £100 to his charity, the Make a Wish Foundation. What a classy touch!
So, for us punters that's a real nugget.

We know Daryl Gurney is one of the main maximum hitters in world darts right now, but if Michael isn't switching to treble 19, and the like, and is also willing to leave odd doubles, then the 180 markets for Michael in this Premier League have to be looked at first.
Daryl has hit 14 maximums in 35 legs so far in this Premier League campaign, Michael has 12 in 31 legs.
Michael Van Gerwen to Win & hit Most 180s @ 6/4
Of all the other matches I think they're tough to call and this match is no exception; it looks like it goes the distance to me.
Both have been threatening a real pearler of a finish, Barney has missed a bull for a 161,164, Cross for 164 and 167. They have also missed the bull for a 121 finish in recent times.
I like them both to have a ton plus checkout, so that's my second bet on what should be an incredible night in Germany.
Both players to have a 100+ checkout @ 11/4
