Wayne Mardle: Lewis can run Taylor close in Matchplay showdown

Lewis on the handicap is Wayne's main bet - will you follow?

It's Phil Taylor v Adrian Lewis in another big final and Wayne Mardle is already quids-in having tipped both in his tournament preview. But our darts expert is attempting to play up the profit with a pair of bets for tonight's action. Here's his verdict

"If Lewis plays with the same intensity he showed against MVG The Power could be cut."

Lewis +3.5 legs @ evens or better

First things first - if both players play as they did in their respective semi-finals we are in for a belter

Lewis is more than capable of turning Taylor over, and if he plays with the same intensity he showed against MVG The Power could be cut.

Phil knows that Adrian has the game to beat him, that in itself is a worry for the 13-times Matchplay champ. We've seen Phil troubled earlier in the week by Terry Jenkins and I think we could see a close one once again.

But Adrian must keep pace with The Power early on otherwise he could be in for a tough night

Nevertheless, I think we can make some money here keeping Lewis on our side and backing him on the handicap is the way forward.

Also, with two such high-quality players at the oche, overs on the high finish has to be played. Both are likely to have at least one monster out in my opinion.
