Wayne Mardle on the Grand Slam of Darts: Back VvdV to out-max Kong

Vincent van der Voort looks over-priced to hit the most 180s
Vincent van der Voort looks over-priced to hit the most 180s

Ronny Huybrechts did the busines for Wayne Mardle yesterday, and our man is back with two more selections for tonight's action at the Grand Slam of Darts...

"So far the Dutchman has hit five maximums in 16 legs played, whilst Kong, Robbie Green, has hit five in 15 legs. That makes them pretty even by my reckoning, so the fact that Vincent is available to back at the odds on offer has me believing he's slightly over-priced."

Back Van der Voort Most 180s @ 2.56/4

Michael van Gerwen v Jan Dekker

Let's not beat around the bush here, MVG is a far better player than Mr Coat, Jan Dekker, and the world number one should win this match at a canter.

Dekker will have to be in possession of his A game for this match to be competitive, and even then he may need help from Michael. The Dutchman made it two wins from two in his last match, but was made to fight all the way after a real poor effort by his standards against Darren Webster.

If Michael plays as poorly as that again then the door will be ajar for Dekker, but realistically this game is all about Van Gerwen, if he plays well he romps home.

Vincent van der Voort v Robbie Green

I was really surprised to see Van der Voort available to back at 2.56/4 to hit the most 180s in this game, and at that price he really has to be the bet.

So far the Dutchman has hit five maximums in 16 legs played, whilst Kong, Robbie Green, has hit five in 15 legs. That makes them pretty even by my reckoning, so the fact that Vincent is available to back at the odds on offer has me believing he's slightly over-priced.
