Wayne Mardle's Premier League Tips: Tough to split some of the world's best

Wayne expects Taylor and Anderson to both be smiling after their match on Thursday night

It's high quality and sometimes pivotal matches all the way now that we're down to the last eight players in this year's Premier League darts, and Wayne Mardle can't split four of the world's very best when they go head-to-head in week 10...

"Interestingly, six of the last seven Premier League meetings between these two have gone to the last leg."

Back The Draw @ 7/2 in Anderson v Taylor

Gary Anderson v Phil Taylor

Both Gary, the reigning champ and Phil, the six-time Premier League champion are on the crest of a wave right now, both unbeaten since weeks one and two respectively, and both playing well, looking all but certainties to make the play-offs in May.

I foresee a really tight game, these two often produce nail-biters. There's not much between these two in the quality they produce on a regular basis and both are averaging just over the 100 mark for the season so far.

Gary is lying third in the table, just a point behind the man at the top, The Power. Sandwiched in between them is MVG, loitering with intent.

It's always dangerous predicting a draw, but, if that's what you think the outcome will be then back it.

I'm thinking this goes all the way, obviously. Do you?

Interestingly, six of the last seven Premier League meetings between these two have gone to the last leg.

James Wade v Raymond van Barneveld

Live on Sky Sports 1

I must say I've had trouble this week selecting who I think will win these matches, so I've taken the easy way out, unlike me I know, I've selected games with the potential for draws. There was no value in other markets in my opinion.

James is four points ahead of the Dutchman in the table, so this is a match that RVB really can't afford to lose, a win for Raymond would bring him very much into contention.

I'm predicting a real tight affair with it eventually going to a last leg decider for the points, and the outcome being a point apiece.

These two like a draw too, they have finished all square no less than four times in Premier League history.

If you're interested, and I certainly am, then the double on the two draws I've predicted pays out at just over a juicy 19/1. Not bad for two very closely matched games with four players desperate not to lose.
