We move to Dublin for week three of this year's Premier League darts and our man Wayne Mardle is throwing a couple of 'arrers of his own at Peter Wright and Dave Chisnall in search of some Thursday night winners...
"Chizzy is a man looking to put things right after getting a bit of a hiding against Adrian Lewis last week, but he's more experienced than Smith and that could be crucial."
Peter Wright v James Wade
Live on Sky Sports 1
Peter Wright has already accumulated the maximum points possible after two wins from his two matches played, though at one stage last week that looked very unlikely to be the case.
In Newcastle last Thursday Peter somehow got the better of Raymond van Barneveld, the game was poor from start to finish. RVB will feel it was a match he should have won, after all he had darts at a double to lead 5-2, but somehow contrived to lose the game when a draw was the least he looked on course for.
Wright used a new set of darts that had points on them as long as his Mohican. The equipment was wrong for him, how he won was because of a mixture of timing and Raymond not taking the umpteen chances he had.
Peter will be better this week, he's been Mr Consistent over the last couple of years and I think last week was just down to the darts not allowing him to be at his best. He will surely feel more confident in the weapons of choice.
James Wade has been playing decent enough but I feel he'll have to be on his A-game if he's to take anything from this match.
James is a opportunistic sort, give him a sniff of chance and he'll beat you.
I think this is a game that Wright can dictate, Wade doesn't score as many maximums as Peter, that's a fact. There isn't a lot between these two but I see the 180 count from Snakebite making all the difference.
Dave Chisnall v Michael Smith
Live on Sky Sports 1
Michael Smith's debut season in the Premier League couldn't have started any worse, played three lost three. He just hasn't settled at all yet, this is the first time he's ever played in front of such massive crowds.
There's no let up in this, each and every week is another test of not only your darting skills but also one's mental fortitude. Michael is going to have to remain strong for the coming months otherwise he'll be devoured.
Michael has beaten Chizzy on the big stage before, he'll have to draw on that experience gained.
Chizzy is a man looking to put things right after getting a bit of a hiding against Adrian Lewis last week, but he's more experienced than Smith and that could be crucial.
I can't bring myself to think Michael will win this match, until he pulls it round I'll continue to back against him, I know how hard it is to turn things your way in this competition.
Smith is averaging 86, whilst Chisnall is nearly touching a ton, another telling statistic.
Back Dave Chisnall @ 10/11 to beat Michael Smith
