Wayne Mardle's Premier League Darts Tips: Barney's hot streak to continue in Cardiff

Wayne fancies Barney to get the better of in-form Dave Chisnall
Wayne fancies Barney to get the better of in-form Dave Chisnall

Raymond van Barneveld is showing some of his best Premier League form ever in recent week's and he's doing our man Wayne Mardle a huge favour by continuing to win, so no prizes for guessing who Wayne is pinning his main hopes on this week...

"..you just have to stick with Barney while his tail is up and he's in a winning vein of form. I think I've tipped him up the last five weeks, but he's been doing the business so why change?

Gary Anderson v Stephen Bunting
19:10

Stephen Bunting has in parts of this Premier League looked very good indeed but all too often he's missed important doubles. He got away with it last week against Phil Taylor, who missed eight darts to beat the former world champion from St Helens, but he won't continue getting away with it.

Gary Anderson will outscore Bunting, I think that's a certainty, so relying on the Scotsman missing vital doubles seems the only way that Bunting is going to get anything out of this match.

Stephen's hopes of reaching the play-offs are remote, if he can relax and enjoy the moment then an upset can happen, of course it can, but I just don't think it will given his double percentage over the last 12 matches has been a lowly 30%.

Raymond van Barneveld v Dave Chisnall

Look, please don't get the wrong idea, I'm not infatuated with the loveable Dutchman, scrub that, likeable haha, but you just have to stick with him while his tail is up and he's in a winning vein of form. I think I've tipped him up the last five weeks, but he's been doing the business so why change?

The five time world champ will not have it his own way, Dave has been a revelation this year. Last year he was average at best with the odd world class performance thrown in, this year he's been simply unplayable at times, a joy to watch.

For RVB to win this match he'll have to keep tabs on the maximum magnet that is Chizzy and then take the chances he carves out.

I'm willing to take a chance that Barney gets the better of the man sitting in second place in the league.
