Wayne Mardle's Premier League Tips: Wade and Chizzy the key to profit

James Wade has been struggling with his averages of late... let's take advantage
James Wade has been struggling with his averages of late... let's take advantage

We're off to Sheffield for the latest round of Premier League fixtures, and our man Wayne Mardle fancies a low James Wade average and Dave Chisnall to hit a good few maximums...

"James hasn't recorded an average higher than 93.88 in his last eight games!"

Back Wade Average Under 98.5 @ 8/11 v Anderson

My bet is all about James Wade.

James is 8/11 to average under 98.5. Why is it set so high?

Of his last 17 recorded matches, James has only beaten that spread three times. Two of those were against Michael van Gerwen, so there's an argument there for two inflated averages isn't there? MVG doesn't allow as many darts at a double as others, so the average can be slightly flattering.

James hasn't recorded an average higher than 93.88 in his last eight games!

Surely the 98.5 average is set way too high.

Raymond van Barneveld v Dave Chisnall

Raymond has hit 52 maximums, to Chizzy's 60.

No great shakes there really. Well for me it doesn't tell the whole story.

Raymond has been using different flights in the last few weeks, and it's not a coincidence his 180 hitting has suffered. RVB has only hit three maximums in the last two matches.

I think he's regressing in form, and the lack of 180's would support that.

Dave Chisnall on the other hand is flourishing just at the right time. He's making a real sprint for the play-offs in a few weeks. He was a 150/1 no hoper, loitering at the foot of the table and showing no signs of a revival. Well, five weeks later and he's pushing to make the play-offs at the 02 in London for the second time.

Anyway, back to the 180's. If RVB continues to use the same flights as in the two previous weeks, Chizzy could be a steal at 8/11 to hit the most maximums.

Back Chisnall Most 180s @ 8/11
