Wayne Mardle on the Premier League: A big winner if Whitlock hits the Big Fish

Simon Whitlock - Premier League Darts
Wayne is having a fun flutter on Simon Whitlock hitting a 170 finish on Wednesday night

We have a double header of Premier League Darts this week starting on Wednesday night in Rotterdam, and our man Wayne Mardle has two wagers for you to consider on what should be an excellent evening...

"I think the 16-1 is a tad overpriced for the big Aussie to hit the Big Fish, the 170 finish. C'mon Simon!"

Back Simon Whitlock to hit a 170 Finish @ 16/1 v Raymond van Barneveld

Go low on Smith's night Average

Michael Smith v Gary Anderson

I feel like I'm contradicting myself here, I've been banging on about how well Michael Smith is playing yet I'm going to place a bet on him to average under the spread of 97.5.

Of the 10 matches Michael has played so far he's only beat that spread twice.

When these two met on the opening night it wasn't a classic by any means, in fact both players underperformed hugely, especially Gary, who at the time was really struggling with a back injury; he's well over that now.

These two are close friends, and normally it's Anderson who's gets the better of his opponent.

While I feel this'll be an entertaining encounter played at more than watchable pace, I just feel that Smith's end average will be under 97.5.

Back the Big Aussie to hit the Big Fish

Raymond van Barneveld v Simon Whitlock

A little fun bet that pays big!

The only person on planet darts that leaves a 170 finish more that Simon is Michael van Gerwen. Okay, fair enough, he hasn't hit one yet in this year's Premier League but he's missed the bullseye on at least three occasions. Let's hope he hits one when we're on.

I think the 16-1 is a tad overpriced for the big Aussie to hit the Big Fish, the 170 finish. C'mon Simon!
