Wayne is back and previewing tonight's big quarter-final between Gary Anderson and Peter Wright. He thinks Snakebite is the bet with a helping hand...
"The reason I'm not going for Wright to win on the outright is because betting against Anderson over the years hasn't worked out well for me. I feel the bet here has to be Peter + 1.5 sets at 2.0521/20; he simply has to win four sets."
If these two replicate the form they showed in their last matches we're in for a stonker.
Peter Wright clearly has a liking for the big stage, remember here last year he also produced delightful darts. Some players play well at certain venues, they like the atmosphere, the surroundings, and this is Snakebite's place.
I remember talking to Peter immediately after he lost in the final last year to MVG and he said he'd go one better next year - now I'm starting to believe he can.
The longer the format the more his consistency comes into play, it's now the best of nine sets and he simply has to feel a semi-final place is up for grabs.
On the other hand, in Gary Anderson we have a player who on his day wins. He's sometimes completely unplayable, and this has been his best year as a professional dart player, given the strength of the competition. He's won a major and a further seven ranking events.
Gary is a massive odds-on favourite for this contest, but in my opinion Wright's price is too big, so there's bets to be had. I'm excited at the prospect of this match, and winning some money of course...
This match is sure to be close with plenty of sets going five legs, and I think there could be a few mistakes tonight. Both players are trying to be the number one Scotsman, there's been murmurings behind the scenes about them not getting on and there's a World Championship semi-final place up for grabs.
If there is any ounce of needle then Snakebite is your man, he laughs at confrontation while Gary detests it on the oche.

One thing's for sure though - this game will be a tight, tense, tungsten treat. Enjoy it!
