Peter Wright v Aaron Monk
Both will fancy their chances and this game could be one of the most competitive yet. Aaron Monk is alented but Peter Wright is very good and, in my opinion, often underestimated. That means he's one for the bettors to keep an eye on. I fancy Peter to win this 3 - 1 and I expect him to hit the most 180s as well in the game.
Carlos Rodriguez v John Bowles
I'm not touching this. I really think anything can happen and that's reflected in the odds - 2.111/10 for Carlos and 1.834/5 for John. They're both decent enough players so it should be a good one for the spectator but, as a bettor, it's not for me.
Mark Webster v Ian White
No player within the top 16 has been beaten yet but this could be the one. Ian White is on the up and Webster is struggling.
The former world champ has all the pressure in the world on his shoulders. If he loses against Ian tonight he could drop to world number 31 and that would be a darting disaster.
I think this goes five sets and I think Mark Webster wins it, he is a tough cookie, the former world champ has got the pedigree and got the bottle, so it's Webster for me.
James Wade v Peter Hudson
We know what James Wade can do but he's had his problems and they have been well documented. I'm going to leave this match well alone. If James is at the top of his form he wins 3-0 but can we rely on the Machine at the moment? Not with my money.
Jamie Caven v Rodriguez or Bowles
On TV, Jamie has never quite emulated the form that he produces in the week in week out tour events. Jamie played in the championship league of darts in October and he was quite sensational. In fact, I played against him in an exhibition match just a couple weeks ago. He was talking the right talk, and playing the right game, and his throwing looks smooth and confident. I fully expect Jamie to go up there and play his own game. If he does that, I think he beats whoever he plays. Jamie to win 3-0 or 3-1.
Back Peter Wright @ 1.75/7 to beat Aaron Monk
Back Mark Webster @ 2.0421/20 to beat Ian White
Back Jamie Caven to win 3-0 or 3-1
