The Premier League Darts comes to Birmingham on Thursday night and Wayne Mardle is backing Simon Whitlock when he takes on Peter Wright...

"Simon Whitlock is [2.28] to win the most 180s battle. Simon has hit 38 maximums in 143 legs, to Peters 27 maximums in 135 legs."

As you know by now, I love a stat. Well, here's one... Peter Wright has not hit more 180s than his opponent in the entire Premier League so far, that's fourteen matches.

Simon Whitlock is [2.28] to win the most 180s battle. Simon has hit 38 maximums in 143 legs, to Peters 27 maximums in 135 legs.

But wait there's more stats... Peter has hit zero maximums four times, and just one maximum on three occasions. He absolutely has to be opposed in this market.

The last time these two met Simon won the battle with seven 180s.

MVG can continue his incredible 180 run

There's another 180 bet here...

I personally don't see this being a rout like last time, when MVG won 7-2, I'm thinking more like at least ten legs played, it'll help us if there is.

These two dartists aren't exactly shy when it comes to filling the treble twenty, Cross has hit four or more on ten occasions, that's a superb return, in total he's hit four less than Van Gerwen, 48.

MVG is averaging 3.7 180s a match, Rob comes in with 3.4. Let's hope they raise their games for each other and up that average.

Last time these played each other there was only nine legs played, I'm thinking there will be more this evening. It was World Champs first ever Premier League match, he was clearly nervous.

If there's at least ten legs, the Over 7.5 match maximums looks a fair bet at 11/10.

MVG hits anywhere between two and ten a match. The ten being a premier league record. He hit those against Mensur Suljovic.
