Glasgow is the venue for Week Two of the Premier League darts and James Buttler fancies Peter Wright to do Scotland proud...

"Peter 'Snakebite' Wright will walk on to the Glasgow stage with 2018 and the Scottish crowd firmly behind him. He has started the season a different man than he ended the last and his 6-6 draw against Rob Cross last week (which we called on this very column) has started his Premier Laague campaign in decent style."

Peter 'Snakebite' Wright will walk on to the Glasgow stage with 2018 and the Scottish crowd firmly behind him. He has started the season a different man than he ended the last and his 6-6 draw against Rob Cross last week (which we called on this very column) has started his Premier Laague campaign in decent style.

Wright beat Michael Smith 10-6 in the quarter-final recent Masters tournament as he progressed to last four and will come into this match-up in high spirits. He went throw-for-throw with Cross last week as both players averaged over 100 and as he heads in to week two to take on Smith he can look back at a 15-8 head-to-head record.

'Bully Boy' was thumped 6-0 by Keegan Brown in the Players Championship event in Wigan this week and his form has been shaky since he charged all the way to the final of the World Championship over Christmas.

Best Bet: Back Peter Wright to beat Michael Smith @ 7/4 (2 units)

Can't trust Barney at any Price

Raymond van Barneveld v Gerwyn Price

Live on Sky Sports Darts

Raymond van Barneveld was my tip to finish bottom of the pack and, despite performing okay in his 7-4 defeat to James Wade in week one, my mind hasn't been changed. Barney threw four 180s, averaged 95.15, but only hit four of 13 attempts at a double.

In contrast, Gerwyn Price averaged 104.11 and threw six 180s as he overcame Daryl Gurney last week and, although the Welshman is a tough man to back as he can throw in a loose match here and there, he could potentially still get past his Dutch opponent with his B-game. Price has to be the punt here and I'm taking him on the handicaps.

Best Bet: Back Gerwyn Price -2.5 against Raymond van Barneveld @ 2/1 (1 unit)

Guest Glen to get better of Gurney

Daryl Gurney v Glen Durrant

Live on Sky Sports Darts

With Gary Anderson out of this year's Premier League with a back injury, we have guests filling in each week. In Glasgow this week it's Glen Durrant who is looking to upset the Premier League star. And he has every chance.

Durrant has now jumped across to the PDC after dominating on the BDO circuit. After winning three successive BDO world titles he has come through PDC Qualifying School and then recorded a second place at the recent Players Championship events in Wigan, when he lost 8-7 to Dave Chisnall in the final this week.

Daryl Gurney has been well off the pace in recent weeks, ever since winning the Players Championship Finals in late November. He can't be trusted from a betting standpoint and Durrant looks the play.

Best Bet: Back Glen Durrant to beat Daryl Gurney @ 7/5 (1 unit)
