Premier League Darts - Night 13
Wednesday 2 September
Live on Sky Sports Arena
After a two day break, Premier League Darts is back on Wednesday for the first of four nights, which will conclude the league format and determine who makes the play-offs.
Glen Durrant's 8-3 win over Daryl Gurney on Saturday saw him keep his four point lead at the top of the table and with a six point cushion between 'Duzza' and those outside the top four positions, he looks certain to make the cut. Durrant is the joint second favourite to win the Premier League at 5.04/1, with Peter Wright.
Michael van Gerwen remains the favourite at 3.211/5. That might prove to be a little short at a time when the third placed Dutchman is in erratic form, has tough remaining fixtures and is only a point clear of fifth placed Nathan Aspinall.
Smith will win 180s battle, but lose war
Glen Durrant 2.26/5 v Michael Smith 2.747/4; The Draw 4.77/2
Start time 19:15
A win would effectively put Durrant through to the play-offs, due to his leg difference being so superior to any other player.
We have to assume that Durrant will beat Smith, who has been inconsistent and lost three of his last four matches. One area in which Smith is likely to reign supreme though is in the amount of 180s he hits. Smith has scored 52 to Durrant's 23 and you can back him to score the most 180s and lose the match at 13/5 on the Sportsbook.
Another victory for Anderson
Daryl Gurney 3.711/4 v Gary Anderson 1.814/5; The Draw 4.94/1
Start time 19:45
Anderson has been in superb form of late, drawing with Durrant and beating Van Gerwen, Wright and Aspinall in his last four games.
Those results have seen Anderson move up to second place. Gurney was outclassed by Durrant on Saturday and Anderson should be able to inflict another defeat at 1.814/5.
Wright will continue scoring streak
Peter Wright 2.789/5 v Michael van Gerwen 2.186/5; The Draw 4.94/1
Start time 20:40
Sixth-placed Wright can move level on points with Van Gerwen with a win, which demonstrates the importance of this match for both players.
The result is a tough one to predict, so instead go for Wright to average over 99.5 at 5/6. He's achieved that in four of his last five matches, including the three defeats he's suffered during that run.
Close match ahead between rivals
Gerwyn Price 2.285/4 v Nathan Aspinall 2.68/5; The Draw 4.84/1
Start time 21:15
Price has won four of his last five games, which has seen him move up to fourth.
Over the same period Aspinall has lost three of his games (W2) but, even in defeat, he tends to be very competitive. Since the Premier League entered its second phase, all three of Aspinall's matches have seen 14 legs.
You can back over 13.5 legs at 5/4.
