We're off to Manchester for this week's Premier League action and our man Wayne Mardle fancies an Adrian Lewis win and another strong average from Michael van Gerwen...
"But it gets interesting when we study his averages against Van Barneveld alone. Michael hasn't averaged below 103.5 against Raymond since September 2015. That's eight matches consecutively."
Jelle Klaasen v Adrian Lewis
Live on Sky Sports 1
Last week I came to the conclusion that Jelle Klaasen would beat James Wade. James played like I thought he would, averaging in the low 90's, but unfortunately Jelle was injured.
It's a serious wrist injury that Jelle has, he will go under the surgeons knife in May. But while Klaasen is still able to play, he's in no way able to play near his mean/best.
At 4/9 it's impossible as a punter not to back Adrian to win this match, but we'll attempt to get some juice of a Lewis victory by backing him on the handicap.
It may seem harsh to try and profit on someone's misfortune.
Jelle had two pain-relieving injections last week in the hope that he could throw with the freedom needed to compete, but unfortunately he was unable to do so.
As long as Adrian continues to perform like he has over the last few weeks he should win this match. He's a more confident player now than this time last month. Lewis looks to me like he's ready to be a menace again.
Head-to-heads and stats aren't relevant here, it's unfortunately about Jelle Klaasen's injury.

Raymond van Barneveld v Michael van Gerwen
Live on Sky Sports 1
Michael is playing twice in Manchester.
The average spread has been set at 103.5, higher or lower at 5/6 for both games, first against James Wade, then Raymond.
In the last 20 matches, Van Gerwen has gone higher than a 103.5 average 14 times.
Michael's tournament average over the last three years is just over 105. That is calculated over his last 38 matches over the Premier League format.
But it gets interesting when we study his averages against Van Barneveld alone. Michael hasn't averaged below 103.5 against Raymond since September 2015. That's eight matches consecutively.
The level Raymond is playing at will command every ounce of Michael's concentration, that's good for us punters. No slacking here.
Win, lose or draw, we don't care. As long as Michael averages over 103.5.
Back Michael van Gerwen Average Over 103.5 @ 5/6
