Peter Wright takes on Jeffrey de Zwaan in Saturday's matches

Dan Fitch is expecting the treble twenty to see plenty of tungsten when Peter Wright faces Jeffrey de Zwaan at the PDC World Darts Championship...

"Wright has the third highest number of 180s in this competition with 17 and De Zwaan ranks at five with 15."

Back over 14.5 180s when Wright plays De Zwaan at 2.1211/10

'Adonis' can flex his muscles again

A place in the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship is at stake when Steve Beaton takes on Darius Labanauskas.

Neither player was expected to reach this stage of the competition. Beaton is the number 25 seed who overcame the fancied James Wade in the third round, while Labanauskas pulled off a big shock by knocking out the number nine seed Ian White. That result was all the more surprising for the fact that White recorded the bigger three dart average, highest checkout and checkout percentage and still lost the match.

Beaton was also outscored by his opponent in the last round, but crucially was very clinical when it came to finishing, with a checkout percentage of 51.85%. He's handled the pressure both as the favourite against Kyle Anderson and as the underdog against Wade.

A trip to the quarter-finals for Beaton will represent a major success at this tournament. He has the experience and class to make it happen and the 'Bronze Adonis' is value to win at 1.8910/11.

Another high average for Belgian

Dimitri van den Bergh 1.9420/21 v Adrian Lewis 2.0421/20

Adrian Lewis survived a thriller in the third round and now faces another tough challenge as he faces Dimitri van den Bergh.

The two-time world champion had to show real grit in his match against Darren Webster, in which he was two sets down and then 3-2 down, only to find a way to ultimately win 4-3. Against a better player he would have been knocked out and Dimitri van den Bergh looks to be in the sort of form to take advantage, should Lewis not improve.

Van den Bergh has the sixth highest three dart average in the tournament with 97.19. Having beaten Josh Payne and Luke Woodhouse to reach this stage, Lewis is the first seed that the Belgian has met and it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure against a player with such experience.

This could be a match in which the two competitors really push one another. Van den Bergh can be backed at 1.834/5 to record an average of over 94.5, which based on his record so far looks achievable.

High scorers will beat 180 limit

Peter Wright 1.865/6 v Jeffrey de Zwaan 2.1211/10

The evening session on Saturday sees the 2014 tournament runner-up face the in-form Jeffrey de Zwaan.

As is the case with Lewis, it's Wright that has the greater experience and reputation. He too will be under threat if his standards do not improve. Wright came through a difficult game against Seigo Asada in the last round with a 4-2 win, but once again it was a very inconsistent performance. He was often playing far from his best level as he tinkered with his darts, with fleeting moments of brilliance getting Wright out of trouble.

De Zwaan is one of the best young players on the tour and has looked superb so far at this tournament. He beat Dave Chisnall 4-3 in the third round in a back and forth classic. De Zwaan's average of 106.09 in that match was the highest in the tournament so far.

This promises to be a very tight match in which the result could go either way. What does seem certain is that we'll see some heavy scoring. Wright has the third highest number of 180s in this competition with 17 and as De Zwaan ranks at five with 15, the odds of 2.111/10 for the over 14.5 180s barrier to be broken, has some appeal.
