Anthony Joshua's management team have this morning confirmed that they have accepted terms to fight Tyson Fury in early December. Mike Norman has the last news and betting updates...
An all-British heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua looks likely to happen later this year after Joshua's management team confirmed that they had accepted the terms of the offer set out by Fury's team early last week.
Speaking on Twitter, 258MGT and Matchroom Boxing confirmed on behalf of Joshua that they had "accepted all terms presented to us by Fury's team for a fight on December 3rd."
In response, Fury's promoter Frank Warren simply replied, "Contract will be with you very soon."
Just last week Fury challenged Joshua to a fight later this year in a video posted on social media, though initially it was thought that Joshua wanted the fight to take place just a week before Christmas, to which Fury refused.
But it now appears that both parties are happy to make the much-anticipated clash happen in early December at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.
Should the fight take place, the Betfair Sportsbook make Fury the 3/10 favourite to win the bout with Joshua available to back at 5/2 and the Draw at 20/1.
Fury to win by KO or TKO - a method of victory achieved in his two wins over Deontay Wilder and earlier this year against Dyllian Whyte - can be backed at 5/4.
Joshua, who suffered a split decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last month, is now ranked number 6 in the world by the WBC.
