Joseph Parker's odds to pull off a huge upset victory over Anthony Joshua on Saturday night have been cut from 10/1 to 6/1 with Betfair customers flocking to back the Kiwi...
"All the money coming in has been for a Parker upset, with more than 80% of all bets on the big Kiwi. This has forced us to slash his odds from an opening 10/1 to 6/1."
More than 80% of bets on the Betfair Sportsbook market for the fight have been for the Kiwi, although Joshua remains a big favourite, at 1/7.
Katie Baylis, Betfair Spokeswoman, said: "While Joshua remains a big favourite on Saturday night with odds of 1/7, all the money coming in has been for a Parker upset, with more than 80% of all bets on the big Kiwi. This has forced us to slash his odds from an opening 10/1 to 6/1.
"We've also seen plenty of interest for Parker to win by KO or TKO with those odds now at 9/1, from a high of 14/1, with punters appearing to grow in confidence that the challenger can give Joshua a run for his money. The Brit is 4/11 to win by stoppage."
The two fighters have been speaking at the final press conference before the fight and Joshua revealed where he would put his money.
"I'm preparing for 12-round fight so it's not a problem if it goes the decision. Let's say I've got £20 in my pocket and I'm watching the fight, I believe that Anthony Joshua will knock Joseph Parker out."
Parker was also confident of victory. "I feel it's my time, I'm young, I'm fast, I'm strong and I'm determined to win. I'm not here to put on a show or for the money, I'm here to take the belts back to my country."
