David Haye speaks exclusively to Betfair ahead of his heavyweight rematch against Tony Bellew on Saturday night and says he is 'razor sharp' this time around which is bad news for Tony Bellew...
"In the first fight, I was sloppy, and my timing was out but, unfortunately for Tony Bellew, this time I'm razor sharp."
New Betfair Ambassador David Haye says he needs an 'explosive' victory over Tony Bellew in their rematch on Saturday night to prove to the boxing world that he is back to his best.
Speaking exclusively to Betfair to mark his announcement as Ambassador, the heavyweight said: "Victory isn't good enough, it has to be explosive, it has to be dynamic and I have to make a statement to the rest of the heavyweights on the planet. They need to know after this victory that I am a force to be reckoned with."
Haye also insists that he is in prime condition for the bout this time around after admitting to being sloppy in the first fight.
"The training camp has gone perfectly, I'm healthy, I'm in good shape and my timing is good," he said. "In the first fight, I was sloppy, and my timing was out but, unfortunately for Tony Bellew, this time I'm razor sharp."
Haye's new partnership with Betfair continues our association with the boxer and Hayemaker Boxing Promotions which we also sponsor. As part of the two-year deal, Haye will be writing a regular exclusive column here on Betting.Betfair.
