The former WBC super middleweight champion tells Betfair why he believes Selby's experience could make all the difference in a close bout against Warrington on Saturday...

"Selby has had five World title fights," says Woodhall, "so I'm probably edging more towards Lee Selby, maybe on points."

Richie Woodhall is looking forward to a close fight between Josh Warrington and Lee Selby at Elland Road on Saturday night.

Bettors make Selby [1.32] the clear favourite but Woodhall thinks Warrington [4.9] has a chance of causing an upset. The former WBC super middleweight champion sees the as a "genuine 50/50 fight".

Home crowd will roar on Warrington

Woodhall believes Warrington, who comes from Leeds, will be boosted by being on home soil. "Warrington will have 20,000 Leeds United supporters," he said. "That has got to be a big advantage."

But Woodhall also believes Selby's movement will help him cope with the occasion: "Selby is very hard to nail down with a good shot," says Woodhall. "It could be a really hard fight for Selby to get Warrington to hold his feet and trade."

Gut instinct says Selby

Woodhall thinks fans are in for a thrilling fight. Pushed to pick a winner, he believes Selby's greater experience could make the difference.

"Selby has had five World title fights," says Woodhall, "so I'm probably edging more towards Lee Selby, maybe on points."
