The likes of Flagship Uberalles, Marlborough and See More Business have to accept the responsibility for David Johnson becoming interested and then obsessed with racing around the turn of the last century. After studying for a degree in Journalism, David spent a year emptying FOBT machines as a betting shop manager before joining Timeform in 2004.
There aren’t many tasks David hasn’t tried during his time with the company, spending his early years writing essays and short comments for both the Flat and National Hunt Annuals to more recently working as a Flat Reporter and Handicapper prior to his current role as Flat Editor. David also contributes to the successful tipping service, the Timeform Jury, and is an occasional pundit on Timeform Radio.
When not looking out for potential gambles and handicap plots, David can often be found propped up at the end of a bar moaning about potential gambles and handicap plots, or watching cricket, football, or soaps!
