Has Theo Walcott failed to make the Fabio's cut?
Punters facing big shocks as rumours emerge that Arsenal man has been left out of England's World Cup squad...
"If the “unconfirmed reports” are true it would certainly come as a nasty surprise to some Betfair punters, as Walcott was backed at [1.03] to be named in today’s 23-man squad."
Fabio Capello - or should that read Sky Sports News? - sprang a major shock this afternoon with the revelation that Theo Walcott is not in England's World Cup squad.
If the "unconfirmed reports" are true it would certainly come as a nasty surprise to some Betfair punters, as Walcott was backed as low as [1.03] (punters willing to risk £33 to win just £1) to be named in today's 23-man squad.
Indeed, the last bet struck on him before Betfair suspended their market at 9am this morning was at [1.04].
Better news is forecast for Stephen Warnock, a surprise inclusion who was backed at [10.00] on Betfair to get on the plane.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "In betting terms, Walcott's omission this time around is a bigger shock than his out-of the-blue inclusion in England's 2006 World Cup squad."
