Argentina are [4.9] World Cup second favourites after despatching Mexico 3-1, but though the scoreline suggests domination, Diego Maradona's team were given a huge hand by a poor refereeing decision that enraged their opponents.

The Mexicans marched after referee Rosetti at halftime after Carlos Tevez's massively offside opener was allowed to stand. But if they were justifiably outraged at that, there was nothing they could do to stop his second - Argentina's third - a beautifully-placed shot from outside the area.

Manchester United's Javier Hernandez pulled back a consolation for Mexico but there was no dramatic comeback and so it's Argentina who will face England's conquerors, Germany in the quarter-final. Only Brazil, at [4.6], trade shorter than Argentina in Betfair's World Cup winner market.
