Minichiello and Cooke have already won an attractive lamp, but can they win gold?
Like a pig snouting around for truffles, Dan 'The Betting Man' Fitch has his nose pressed to the ground and is in search of British gold.

If Monday is the week's laziest day, then Tuesday is when we people realise that recording your highest score on Stick Cricket is not an achievement that your boss will deem to be significant. In short, it's time to panic and get some work done quick.
There are just a few days remaining of the Winter Olympics and if the British are to hit their planned total of medals (a not particularly ambitious, three) then we'd better pick up the second one fast.
It's therefore perfect timing that today should see an event take place where no one would faint if the British won gold.
The women's bobsleigh heats kick off with British hopes resting on the pair of Nicola Minichiello and Gillian Cooke, who were the 2009 world champions.
Since that victory their progress has been halted by the fact that Minichiello lost the sight in her left eye. After all, no one would stick Gordon Brown in a bobsleigh and hope for the best, especially considering that he'd probably spend most of his time hitting his team mate.
Fortunately, Minichiello has since had corrective laser surgery and she and Cooke will be available at around [33.0] to win gold when there's more liquidity in the market. Paula Walker and Kelly Thomas also represent Britain and the odds on a British win will be around the [10.0] mark.
With much less of a chance of picking up a medal Ed Drake, Andy Noble and Dave Ryding will be also plummeting downhill at great speeds (though not quite great enough) in the men's giant slalom.

Well you lucky people, ski cross is the gift that keeps on giving and today sees Sarah Sauvey compete in the women's event.
I've got some good news and some bad news for you with regards to the curling. I'll start with the latter, so I can end with a high, but there's no real need to worry. Steve Cram is safe and well.
The bad news is the fact that the women's team lost their match against Denmark. They now have to beat table-topping Canada and hope that Switzerland lose both their remaining games, which there is scarcely a Toblerone in hells chance of occurring. Our lasses will be available at round [3.3] to keep their end of the bargain.
Good news comes from the men's team, who defeated Germany and can guarantee a semi-final spot if they beat Norway.
