Tuesday's fare is uninspiring to say the least, but buoyed by a successful start to the week, the Timeform Free Form Site have come up with three of the more likely winners for the day's action.

Starting off at Exeter and we have the rare sight of not one but two runners from the Paul Nicholls stable in the novices' selling hurdle. Unsurprisingly, the master of Ditcheat doesn't have too many losers in this grade, and of the pair we fancy Apocal (2.10), who may be ungenuine, but whose second in a class 3 handicap hurdle at Fontwell last month reads particularly well in this sphere. Apocal wouldn't need to be anywhere near his best to win what looks a very weak race.

Over at Kempton and there's plenty of potential on show in the novices' hurdle. Ludlow scorer Great Reason (3.05) is probably the one to be with under a penalty, though, having been well on top at the finish last month, and looking the type who'll relish the increased emphasis on stamina. He's jumped well on the whole in two starts over hurdles thus far, and will likely prove a good deal better than his current Timeform rating of 121p.

At Southwell, only a handful have a realistic chance at the weights in the claiming hurdle over two and a half miles, and of those, Shore Thing (4.05) looks the most solid option. Shore Thing has contested very competitive handicaps on his last two starts, and got no further than the first in the Martin Pipe race at Cheltenham on Friday. Hoiwever, a repeat of the form he showed when winning a similar contest over two miles at Ludlow in November would likely be more than good enough.
