Not disheartened by drawing a blank this weekend, Timeform's placepot team are now focusing on a much simpler card at Lingfield.

2:10 - Abbondanza should be far too good for selling company and should get his own way in front so it's hard to see him not winning this, but just in case something does go wrong, the fairly reliable Ravi River can act as insurance.

2:40 - Both Richard Fahey and Mick Channon's two-year-old runners at the weekend seemed more forward than most of their rivals, the former's Chiswick Bay winning at Doncaster on Saturday, so Mandy's Princess and Wotsthehurry deserve their prominent spots in the betting and it's hard to look beyond them for placepot purposes.

3:10 - There's likely to be plenty of pace in the third leg, something that will play into the hands of both Rondeau and Poppanan, who should arrive late, so we're going to put our faith in those two, despite the competitive nature of the race.

3:40 - Progress looks to have everything in her favour in the three-year-old handicap and the rest will find it tough giving weight away to her so with lines to preserve for the remaining legs, she's our banker in the fourth.

4:10 - Street Entertainer's course-and-distance second to Rumoush back in November represents the best piece of form in the maiden, but John Gosden's three-year-olds have really started firing now and it would be no surprise to see Zuider Zee make a winning start to his career, so we're sticking both in the fifth leg.

4:40 - Lopinot doesn't do much winning but he runs into the frame more often than not and is very familiar with this track, so he goes in, along with Markhesa, the least-exposed one who shaped as if this mark isn't beyond on her on a couple of occasions for Chris Wall in 2009.
