Leopardstown racecourse
Timeform's Billy Nash gives you four recommendations for racing in Ireland on Sunday...
"Little Arrows looks to have a good chance of at least getting placed in the final race on the card."
Downpatrick 4:30 - Win Back - Rakamasi
Rakamasi is no star but he won't get many better chances of winning a race than this one. He is one of the few in this field with recent form, having won at Thurles in November and finished third in a handicap hurdle on his most recent start. He ran well on his only previous visit to this track, too, and it is very easy to pick holes in the opposition.
Leopardstown 4:40 - Win Back - Behtarini
Behtarini is a potentially smart colt and he should be able to lose his maiden tag at the fourth attempt. He was unlucky to finish 2009 as a maiden as he had 6 subsequent winners behind when second to Chabal here, and then chased home Jan Vermeer, who went on to win the Criterium International at Saint-Cloud, on his final start. It looks highly significant that John Oxx has left him in the Epsom Derby and Behtarini should have too many gears for Legendary Lad and September Morn.
Downpatrick 5:30 - Place Lay - Clonard Lad
A Willie Mullins-trained horse in a bumper should never be opposed lightly, but it is hard to make a case for Clonard Lad. He was beaten a distance and didn't go with any immediate promise at Gowran last time and this looks an above-average contest for this track. Foildubh is the one to beat on his second to Bishopsfurze at Fairyhouse, whilst The Grassy and Accurate Approach may be capable of keeping Clonard Lad out of the places.
Leopardstown 5:40 - Win and Place Back - Little Arrows
Little Arrows looks to have a good chance of at least getting placed in the final race on the card. He failed to win in 7 starts for Willie McCreery last year but ran well to finish second off this mark at Wolverhampton in October and didn't get the clearest of runs on his return at Dundalk. That run should put him spot on for this, his best Flat form is with a cut in the ground (by Danehill Dancer) and is well drawn in stall 6.
