Timeform's Billy Nash gives you three recommendations for racing in Ireland on Saturday...
"That's Moyne's form figures hardly inspire confidence but she shaped as if on the way back to form when fifth at Naas last time and this race may well be run to suit her."
Navan 3:25 - Win Back - Shorecliffe King
Shorecliffe King has been knocking on the door for a while now and looks to have been found a good opportunity to finally open his account over hurdles. He did nothing wrong at Clonmel last time, leading for much of the straight but eventually mastered close home by All The Eights in a 2½m event. He stays 2¾m but the drop in trip is offset somewhat by this stiff track and this is not a strong race.
Navan 4:30 - Win and Place Back - That's Moyne
That's Moyne's form figures hardly inspire confidence but she shaped as if on the way back to form when fifth at Naas last time and this race may well be run to suit her. The likes of Rockers Field, Rating Queen and The Flying Dustman all like to force the pace so the emphasis will be firmly on stamina which will suit an out-and-out stayer such as That's Moyne. Tim Doyle's mare is back down to a mark just 1 lb higher than the one she gained her only victory off, and has been placed off much higher marks than this one in the past. Paul Townend takes the ride and she looks capable of getting placed, at least.
Navan 5:35 - Place Lay - Barcardero
Barcardero has been holding his form really well of late so is sure to have his supporters in both the win and place markets. However, it is slightly disconcerting to see him fitted with cheekpieces and he is better treated over hurdles at present. He faces a stiff task in attempting to give weight to all his rivals and it looks significant that his trainer, Gordon Elliott, has booked Davy Condon to ride his other runner Imperial Storm.
