Timeform select an impressive winner from the all-weather action at Wolverhampton on Monday 22nd March.
"The well-bred daughter of Kingmambo had been allotted an opening handicap mark of 71 but that grossly underestimated her as she showed a fine turn of foot to register a seven-length win."
Those who turned up at Wolverhampton last Monday witnessed one of the most impressive winners seen on the all-weather this winter when once-raced maiden winner Srda demolished her field in a handicap over nine and a half furlongs. The well-bred daughter of Kingmambo had been allotted an opening handicap mark of 71 but that grossly underestimated her as she showed a fine turn of foot to register a seven-length win, with value for much extra. It would be no surprise to see her line up in one of the fillies classics (entered in Oaks), her trainer Clive Brittain well-known for setting the bar high for his horses, but, while that grade will probably prove beyond her, she is well worth following even when taking into account the inevitable hike in the weights for this easy success.
