Timeform indentify two horses who haven't covered themselves in glory recently and may be best avoided.

Alan McCabe has had four winners since the turn of the year and looks to have his string in fine form. One of his inmates who may be best avoided over the following weeks, however, is Tamarind Hill. The Shamardal gelding has three placed efforts next to his name but on each occasion has looked awkward under pressure and spoilt his chance of winning. He now looks a difficult one to trust, for win purposes at least.

Bryan Smart had three winners from his four runners at Southwell on Friday. Verinco was dropped to selling company for the first time and was the only one of the North Yorkshire trainer's runners who didn't oblige on the day. The four-year-old has made the frame in six of his last eight starts but often lets himself down with his attitude, recently developing a habit of finishing weakly and has become a disappointing sort who is best opposed.
