Timeform share their views on the UAE 2000 Guineas, in which Mike De Kock's Musir was a short price to confirm superiority over Frozen Power.
"Mike de Kock was saddling his fourth winner of this race, the previous three all going on to UAE Derby success"
A re-run of the trial for this race, Musir 7 lb better off with Frozen Power this time, and he ran out a decisive winner, looking a cut above this grade.
Mike de Kock was saddling his fourth winner of this race, the previous three all going on to UAE Derby success, and Musir will set a high standard if, as expected, lining up for that contest, showing a fine turn of foot to cut down one who got first run, Frozen Power seeing out this extra 1f if not improving for it. There were some Grade 1 performers from the Southern Hemisphere in behind, but, as has been the case throughout this Carnival, they failed to land a meaningful blow.
