After a stellar day when all his tips came in - including a [6.6] bet on Dudi Sela overcoming Tommy Robredo in four sets - Ben Caudell returns to SW19 to make his Saturday picks.
Today's Selections:
Sabine Lisicki (GER) v Svetlana Kuznetsova (Rus)
Serena Williams was the last women to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year. The American is likely to retain that record this year seeing that 2009 French Open winner Kuznetsova has never been comfortable with the switch from clay to grass. The 24-year-old Russian is still to go beyond the quarter-finals at the All England Club, she has been quoted as saying: "I'm going to try and enjoy Wimbledon; I don't want to put pressure on myself. I play great on clay, I can play well on grass, but I haven't done that yet."
The difficult transition from sliding around on the European clay to the low bouncing balls of the grass courts was apparent when Kuznetsova bowed out of her first match at last week's Eastbourne Championships to Aleksandra Wozniak 6-0 6-3. She has since managed to recover some form, winning two rounds so far at this year's Wimbledon. Today, however, she will face young German starlet Sabine Lisicki who has risen from 237 in the world rankings (2007) to a career high of 4. She says her two favourite surfaces are hard and grass and I expect her to put in a powerful display of controlled aggression against the Russian with another potential upset on the cards.
Selection:
Lay 2-0 Kuznetsova @ [1.69]
Back Sabine Lisicki +4.5 Games @ [2.0]
Back Sabine Lisicki @ [5.1] to win match (Small bet)
Andy Murray (GBR) v Viktor Troicki (SRB)
Viktor Troicki has been extremely lucky to reach round three of the Wimbledon this year, having drawn clay court specialists Daniel Gimeno-Traver and Brian Dabul in the two previous rounds. Today he will face the wrath of home favourite Andy Murray, a player he has met on two previous occasions, most notably at this year's Miami Masters where Murray stomped all over the Serbian winning 6-1 6-0.
I can see Murray opening up another can of 'wooop arse' today and with the price of [1.04] too short to back in the match odds I suggest you take a gander at the handicap markets.
